1. School begins with the Morning Assembly and students must be on time for it. Students go to classrooms from the assembly in silence according to classes.
2. Every student must have the school diary duly signed by the parents/ guardian. No students will be allowed to sit in class without the school diary and will be sent back home.
3. No remarks once written in the diary should be tampered/ cancelled by anyone other than Principal.
4. No student will be allowed to leave the school during the school hours except on the basis of a letter of authorization from his/ her parents/ guardian. No request on telephone will be entertained.
5. On their way to and from school students must behave well mannerly.
6. Any damage to school property must be made good by the student concerned.
7. Students are responsible for the safe custody of their own books and belongings. Every article should be marked with student’s name.
8. Every student is obliged to take part in co/ extra- curricular activities organized by the school.
9. Changing classrooms between periods should be done in silence and orderly manner.
10. Students should keep their classrooms/ school campus neat and clean.
11. Books (other than text books or library books), periodicals, comics, newspaper or printed matter of an objectionable nature must not be brought into the school.
12. Bullying and using foul language is strictly prohibited. Students should not indulge in any antisocial activity in or out the school.
13. The school reserves the right to suspend/ dismiss or to take strict disciplinary action against a student whose performance in studies is constantly unsatisfactory or whose conduct is undesirable.
14. Students are to address their teachers and other members of the school staff with due respect and politeness. Arrogance and rowdyism are undesirable and not tolerable.
15. The seniors are expected to treat the juniors with love and affection, while the juniors show all respect to their seniors. There should be perfect harmony among the students.
16. No student should indulge in any of the following practices in the school:
a) Spitting chewing gum in the school campus
b) Disfiguring walls.
c) Bursting of crackers and playing with colours.
d) Casteism or communalism.
e) Violence in any form.
17. 75% attendance of the student is compulsory. No student will be permitted to sit in exams if he/she does not fulfill this condition.
18. Students suffering from infectious/ contagious diseases will not be allowed to attend the school till full recovery.
19. Student(s) using unfair means in exams will be dealt strictly. 20. Students must speak only English in the school campus.

School Rules & Guidelines For Parents

1. All students are required to come to school in proper school uniform.
2. Students must reach the school in time. All late comings will be recorded against the student’s name.
3. Any early leaving of the student would require a proper permission from the Principal. Parents are not encouraged to meet their ward directly during the school hours.
4. A leave application duly signed by the parents (from the student diary) must reach the office before a leave is taken. Otherwise, the student will be marked absent. The absence and leave record will go in the Progress Report Card of the child. In case the number of days of absence exceeds seven school days continuously, the child’s name may be struck off the school rolls, and the child will have to be readmitted.
5. Students are required to respect school rules and the school property. Any VIOLATION of rules or damage to the property may lead to a substantial fine, even a withdrawal of the student.
6. Students are not allowed to bring any cash with them unless there are special instructions from the class teacher or the office. Items like jewellery or other valuable articles are also not allowed. Wrist watches are allowed in higher classes (Grade VI & onwards).
7. All parents are expected to make a regular use of the student diary and the second Saturday to have a better communication with the teacher and the school.
8. The school keeps the attendance record of every student till the Annual Report Giving Day. Thus, all students are required to come to school till the academic session is over, unless advised otherwise. Attendance is compulsory on all school functions including Sports Days & Field Days. A special fine may be imposed in case of a lapse on the part of the student.
9. All parents are encouraged to visit the school on the second Saturday of every month to find out how well their ward is doing. The parents of higher classes must come to school atleast once in a month, or otherwise advised.
10. All school dues are to be paid by the 10th of every month or the second Saturday (whichever comes first). In case of the non- clearance of outstanding dues, the student’s name may be struck off the school rolls, and he may not be allowed to take the semester/ final examination.
11. The application for the withdrawal of the child and the caution money must be submitted to the school office atleast two weeks before the school leaving certificate is to be issued.
12. The caution money, if taken will not be refunded unless an application for the refund is not received by the school office within two months of the withdrawal of the student or expiry of the previous academic session (which is applicable).
13. Dues once deposited shall not be refunded.
14. Parents are requested to make sure that their ward(s) take care of the grooming and tidiness of his books and notebooks. 15. Parents are required to make sure that their ward(s) is healthy and fit to come to school. Children suffering from any contagious disease like measles, jaundice, mumps and eye-flu etc. will not be permitted to attend the school. A medical certificate may be required as a proof of fitness.

Suggestions For Good Parenting

1. Parents are advised to spend “quality time” with their children every day.
2. Monitor your child’s studies personally after he/she comes back from school.
3. Encourage your child to talk to you. He/ She is full of new experiences to share and stories to tell.
4. Inculcate in your child the habit of reading. Encourage her/him to read library books and buy him/her books as incentives.
5. Television can be fun and help your child learn. Television viewing should be planned regularly around programmes made for children. Watch television along with your child and talk about what you have seen. However, too much of T.V. watching should be avoided.
6. Share your hobbies with your child.
7. Plan outdoor activities with your child and his/her friends.
8. Help him/ her do his/ her homework if required, but do not do it for him/her.
9. Habits developed at home will often help at school.
10. Following set schedules for home work, recreation, meal time etc. establish consistency.
11. Remain in touch with the school to know about your child’s progress.
12. Making your child responsible for a few household chores will develop a sense of responsibility. Give him time to make simple decisions and to explore new situations.
13. Praise your child. Children who are treated with love and care grow up to be happy and confident.
14. Show genuine interest, patience and understanding towards your child, as a child is an adult in the making. He has individual self respect and dignity. 15. Be a guide and a friend of your child. He/ She looks up to you as a model.
